Kikis Court Fan Club pays medical bill of nine-year-old

Hohoe (V/R), Dec. 28, GNA - Kikis Court Fan Club (KCFC), a Hohoe-based social group, has settled the medical bill of GH¢2,789 of a nine-year-old Alhassan Salima.

Alhassan was admitted to the Children's Ward of the Hohoe Municipal Hospital on November 19, 2021, and discharged on December 14 but was still at the Ward due to the debt.

Mr Christian Adusu-Donkor, Founder of the Club, told the Ghana News Agency (GNA) that the plight of little Alhassan came to the club's notice on December 25 this year during a donation exercise at the Hospital.

He said the plight of the child informed the drive to reach out to members and non-members of the club.

"I thought if our aim is to bring the Christmas cherry to ailing children on admission, surely we can ice it by helping one (Alhassan) go home," he added.

Mr Adusu-Donkor said the collaborative effort between members of the Club, friends and family led to raising the amount.

He expressed gratitude to all who supported to ensure that the little girl got to spend the rest of Christmas at home with her family and friends, adding that "these little acts of kindness make life worth living."

Mr Fred Elorm Amoaku, the Club's Project Director, who led the members to pay the bill, said they also presented an amount of GH¢700 to enable Alhassan and her grandmother to get home safely.

He said they were grateful that the club's efforts and appeal received the needed support from all.

Madam Afua Alhassan, the grandmother of the girl, expressed gratitude to the club and all who supported the discharge of her grandchild.
